Experience a unique team event and start making cheese with your colleagues!

During the day you go through all the steps of making cheese. Afterwards, everyone will receive all the materials you need to further treat your own cheese for the next 6 weeks. After six weeks, the cheese is ready. Who will manage to make the tastiest cheese?

The program of your team event can be adapted to your wishes. You can make cheese at your own location or in Elburg. If you have specific wishes, please contact the cheese maker.

Program of the team event

The program of your team event can be adapted to your wishes. Below you will find 2 example programs: a program for one daypart (3 hours) and a full day program. In consultation, the program can also be a mix of both. Please contact Esther , the cheese maker, if you have specific wishes.

Example: One daypart (3 hours)

Can be both morning or afternoon

09:30 / 13:00 - Ready, set ... go!

This will be an unforgettable team event! The preparation can begin: this means removing rings, washing hands and wearing a hairnet.

09:45 / 13:15 - Processing milk

We start with processing the milk, adding additives and the rennet to make the milk curdle.

10:00 / 13:00 - Coffee with a treat

While the milk is curdling it is time for coffee or tea with a treat.

10:30 / 14:00 - Cutting, washing, filling and pressing cheese

After the coffee we cut the curd. The curd is washed several times and undergoes several process steps before the fresh cheese can go under the press.

12:30 / 16:00 - End

Making cheese is a delicate process, so we can deviate slightly from the timetable.

Afterwards - afterglow from this team event for at least 6 more weeks!

Esther will take the cheeses from the press later in the day and ensures that the cheeses reach you. The cheeses come in a box containing all the materials that everyone needs to further treat their own cheese. In the coming period, everyone will individually have to take care of their cheese diligently, with love, passion and patience, so that the cheese develops into a tasty cheese. The box contains instructions, so that everyone knows exactly what to do with the cheese. The cheese is ready to eat after six weeks. This way you can organize a new drink after 6 weeks, where everyone can bring their own cheese!

Same start as with one half day

With a full day program you have the same start as with one half day. (See other example) In the morning we go through the following steps of making cheese: processing the milk, curdling, cutting, washing, filling and pressing. In between there is time for coffee or tea with a treat.

13:00 - A delicious lunch

While the cheese is under the press, Esther provides a delicious farmer’s lunch. Halfway through lunch we turn the cheeses and there is still enough time to enjoy the outdoors or to ask questions you had not yet asked.

In consultation, this step and the lunch can be shorter, so that you can alternate the program with your own input, such as a team meeting, inspiration session, etc.

14:30 - Inspect and brine the cheese

After lunch we take the cheese from under the press and we pickle the cheeses. They are then ready to take home.

15:30 Cheese quiz

Who paid the best attention today? Grab your phone for a hilarious cheese quiz. The person who answers the questions best wins the quiz and wins a tasty cheese platter!

16:00 - Drinks with of course cheese!

Esther provides a nice drink to end the team event. Don’t forget to take a group photo with your hairnets and cheeses!

17:00 - End

Afterwards you can afterglow from this team event for at least 6 weeks! In the coming period, everyone will individually have to take care of their cheese diligently, with love, passion and patience, so that the cheese develops into a tasty cheese. Esther provides a box with materials and instructions, so that everyone knows exactly what to do with the cheese. The cheese is ready to eat after six weeks. This way you can organize a new drink after 6 weeks, where everyone can bring their own cheese!

If you have your own location available where you can make cheese, Esther will be happy to come to you! Consider, for example, your own canteen, the kitchen of a restaurant in the area, a large shed of one of your team members, etc. First, check what a location must meet.

Option 2: in Elburg

Uniek dagje uit: kaas maken

The workshop is given at the beautiful dairy farm of the van der Kolk family in Elburg, on the edge of the Veluwe. During the workshop you have a beautiful view of the cows in the barn. If the ladies feel like it, they walk to the meadow or to the milking robot, eat something delicious or stand under the massage brush. We use the milk from the cows of the van der Kolk family to make cheese.

Costs

The costs of a team event are determined on the basis of the size of the group and depend on your wishes. View 2 example calculations below.

Example 1: One half day (3 hours)

You will make cheese together for a morning or afternoon under the guidance of Esther. In between you get coffee, tea and a treat. Esther will take the cheeses from the press later in the day and ensures that the cheeses, including materials for finishing the cheese, reach you.

Example calculation: 780 euros. (65 euros p.p). This price is based on 12 people. With a different number, the costs may differ per person. The costs may also differ if an adapted program is chosen.

Example 2: A whole day

You are going to make cheese together for a day under the guidance of Esther. In between you will receive coffee, tea and a treat and an extensive lunch. In consultation it is possible to vary the program with your own input, such as an inspiration session or team meeting. The day ends with a nice drink, of course with tasty cheeses. Everyone gets a cheese package, with which you can do the post-processing of your own cheese at home.

Example calculation: 900 euros. (75 euros p.p). This price is based on 12 people. With a different number, the costs may differ per person. The costs may also differ if an adapted program is chosen.
